Flower Week: Maroon ... really changing up the colors up here.

Tuesday: Sticking with the deep reds on day two. I saw these all in the same area. Again, couldn't tell you any more than I'm pretty sure it's not an animal or mineral.

Flower Week: Burgandy and White ...



Don't ask me what kind of flowers these actually are ... I'm a guy. It was just a beautiful weekend and the flowers were in bloom.

Rabbit Hides in the Light Eating


This rabbit appeared to be using the sunlight to hide and have a good lunch by the grass boundary between my neighbors yard and mine.

A Car I Never Thought I'd See as a Collector Car


I saw this car the other night while having to go around a bridge that was closed for the evening.


Bonus Picture: I was in Chicago the other night and while driving back to the highway I passed the corner of Addison and Hamlin. Hamlin is the one way street in two directions meeting at Addison. You don't see this kind of thing very often.

My Favorite Momento From Japan


One evening while bar hopping in Osaka, Japan my friends and I wound up a the Triangle Fountain Park (the beer machine in it was full) and there were some college kids there, one making crayon drawings. He made a quick drawing of us and handed it to me. At the time I was all hyped to get some samurai swords but those now gather dust in my basement and this is still in my office.

Roofers on an Oppressively Hot Day



I saw these roofers and immediately felt for them. Today it was 90 degrees, humid and they were up on a black roof with no shade and masks on their faces to help them breathe.
