This must have been a butterfly that was auctioned from a past season of the Einstein Project. It's currently on a private dock somewhere along the Fox River Trail. It looks a little weathered but still caught my eye right away. I could not figure out the real name of this butterfly, so I called it Anonymous.

The Einstein Project: Summer Breeze, A Few Moments Later
A few moments after the first look I got this snap as a boat was passing by and the flag atop the Bellin Building flapping nicely in the then summer breeze.

The Einstein Project: Patches the Turtle

The Einstein Project: Patches the Turtle
This is the first picture you'll see of Patches ... another of the turtles produced by the Einstein Project. I'll tell you more about this turtle tomorrow, but for now I'll tell you why I liked this one. It's a bit nostalgic, but it reminds me of the kind of quilts my favorite aunt and my grandmother used to makeThursday, October 1, 2009
The Einstein Project: Turtle Island
Another of the brilliant turtles around town from the Einstein Project.According to the Einstein Project site the painting symbolizes the Oneida creation story. Both of the painters are creators themselves ... one a children's book author and illustrator and the other barely more than a child at age 13. Thank you both for your work.
This one was painted by Stephanie Stevens and Jessica House and sponsored by the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin. They are the biggest local indian tribe and run the casinos in town and by the airport.

The Einstein Project: Butterflies Among Us
In honor of my friend, "Butterfly", from Japan coming to town I figured I'd show some of the art placed around town from the Einstein Project. This piece is the Butterfly Faerie, by Naomi Moes Jenkins and sponsored by the Aon Corporation.
Butterfly is a huge Packers fan. I'll ask her what she thinks of the whole Brett Farve thing when I see her on Friday. She will be the official voice of the blog on the Green Bay Packers as
I'm not native enough to bleed Green and Gold (translation, I root for a team out east, and it doesn't matter which as I don't follow them much either). Hockey (Green Knights, Admirals and Predators), baseball(Brewers, Timberrattlers and Bullfrogs), and volleyball(Wisconsin) are my sports.
