The Einstein Project: Patches the Turtle

This is the first picture you'll see of Patches ... another of the turtles produced by the Einstein Project. I'll tell you more about this turtle tomorrow, but for now I'll tell you why I liked this one. It's a bit nostalgic, but it reminds me of the kind of quilts my favorite aunt and my grandmother used to make

The Einstein Project: Turtle Island

Another of the brilliant turtles around town from the Einstein Project.

According to the Einstein Project site the painting symbolizes the Oneida creation story. Both of the painters are creators themselves ... one a children's book author and illustrator and the other barely more than a child at age 13. Thank you both for your work.

This one was painted by Stephanie Stevens and Jessica House and sponsored by the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin. They are the biggest local indian tribe and run the casinos in town and by the airport.

Another of the fine sculptures near the Neville Public Musem. This one is Babble by Ned Cain, made from Mild Steel in 2004. I'm not sure what Mild Steel is but I like it.
