A Real Frog

This frog (or toad) decided to hop into the garage to avoid the rain. I always assumed frogs (or toads) liked rain.

Neville Public Museum

I can't believe I never put a photo of the Neville Public Museum. I wonder if I was waiting for a better one. Another one I'm going to have to take a mulligan on.

The Einstein Project: Japanese Water Works

Another of the wonderful art exhibits from the Einstein Project. This is the from the Friends of the Butterfly Project from this year. The artist is Savannah Carr and was sponsored by Davis and Kuelthau Attorneys at Law.

West Side Train Switching Station

This is the train car switching station on the north west side of green bay. I hear the train cars hitching up from my house all the time and this section of the station is at least a mile from my house.

Babble

Another of the fine sculptures near the Neville Public Musem. This one is Babble by Ned Cain, made from Mild Steel in 2004. I'm not sure what Mild Steel is but I like it.

Another piece of art from the Einstein Project. This piece was created by Samantha Van Ess and sponsored by Community First Credit Union. Green Thumb can be found on the walking path near the river between Dousman and Walnut along the west side of the Fox River.

Old Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Building - West Side

This is the West Side of the Old Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Building. They moved in sometime in 2008 to a new location on the west side of Green Bay.

Since there isn't a brew pub at this location (yet) there isn't much history available online about the station. Guess I might have to go to the library and update this page later.

Old Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Building - East Side

This is old Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce building's east side. It's on Washington Street and as you may guess by looking at it, it's an old train station.

And lucky for me the train tracks are long gone which means there is probably a trail behind it that might have things on it for me to take more pictures.

For Tony: Still Waters Run Deep

I know this happens to many people every day, but today it another good person's turn. I lost a good friend and the best boss I've ever had. It's a sad day for me and many other people. I had a chance to thank him and thankfully I did or today I don't think I'd be able to forgive myself. He was a good man and because of that he was able to be a great man ... because given that chance to make a difference, he always took it.

I chose the title today, because that's how I heard a coworker describe him today and it was accurate ... except that he wasn't quiet ... just calm under pressure. The second reason I chose it was because it is an idiom and we work with many english as a second language people and he liked to explain idioms to these people. It just fits.

He'll be missed by me and many others.

The Met Life Blimp

The Blimp (I assume) is in town for the Packers-Bengals game on Sunday. I took this shot as (I assume) they were taking cut shots to play during the telecast. I guess I pulled a reverse on them.

Monument Photo from July

I took this photo since because of the shadows crossed the monument nicely. I was in the area taking other photos buildings, art and monuments in the area and figured it would go well on Sept. 11th ... one day late I guess.

Green Bay's Own Twin Tower Monument

Green Bay's monument to those Wisconsinite's who died on September 11th, 2001. I have another photo of the monument to feature tomorrow. I drove by the monument today and stopped to take another because they had a ceremony just prior to my passing by.

Black and White Bird

Triple Play!

I was at the game on Sunday and managed to get a snap during the triple play! I wish it would have been a touch earlier or later, but it's not bad.

Unfortunately it's pretty much been the highlight of the Brewers year so far.

Unique Lawn Art

I saw this lawn art on one of my many walks through town. If I get behind you may see more from this persons front lawn. I liked the work in but thought it would make it a bit awkward to mow the lawn.
